Glittery hoops, a great cardio and core workout, and it’s free! Taught by instructors from the Marawa and the Majorettes troupe (world record-holding hula hoopers) these classes are really good fun and also harder than you’d imagine, we’ve done a couple of their sessions before and we were crap. Take a mate along, it’s a good laugh.

Salomon How to Trail Run Workshops
Various dates and times throughout October and November
Locations including London, Sussex, Surrey, Peak District, Lake District, Snowdonia, Edinburgh
howtotrailrun.salomon.com
With workshops for beginners, intermediate and advanced, these free sessions from Salomon will teach you some useful techniques for running off road, including the best ways to get up and down hills. If you haven’t tried trail running before, no worries, you get to try out some Salomon shoes so you don’t need any kit.
Something to note, when it says London, it means Box Hill – easy to get to from the capital though, just a quick train and you’re running in the countryside and fresh air. I’m doing a Box Hill session. If you’re offended by swearing don’t come to the same one, I f**king hate hills!

Social Concierge and 1Rebel Witness the Fitness

Fitness speed dating basically. Sign up on the link above and if you’re chosen you’ll be one of the 40 men and 40 women invited along to the application-only fitness event from London’s private dating club held at swank club 1Rebel. There’s a 40-minute sweatfest with a Rumble and Reshape class (that’s boxing and group circuits) and then a party nearby – luckily they have great shower rooms. Personally, we don’t think we’re one of ‘London’s most eligible 20 and 30 somethings’ but if you like your clubs exclusive, give it a shot.
