Alongside creating award-winning blogs (come on, had to get it in there somewhere) we also have ‘day jobs’. Charlotte is a freelance journalist, copywriter and editor. Emma is Campaigns Manager for Women in Sport as well as a freelance research, communications and campaigns consultant. We work together with a number of brands to create conversations, content and campaigns that engage the female sports and fitness market.
How we do it
Advertising and sponsored posts. From display ads to sponsored posts, there are a number of ways we collaborate with brands to create online content. Check out one of our sponsored blog posts here.
Live events. We also reward our community through collaborative offline events. In 2014, we launched Summer of Sweat (www.summerofsweat.co.uk) with London Sport A six-week series of ridiculously cool pop-up events, Summer of Sweat was designed to give women a taster of the best that London’s fitness scene has to offer. Activities included paddle boarding on the Thames, themed yoga parties, trampolining and parkour.
Social media engagement, insight and strategy. We know where women and girls ‘hang-out’. We know their online influencers. We know how to create messages they want to hear that. We use this insight to help brands create content and campaigns that women want to be a part of. At the moment we’re collaborating with Puma on the roll out of their #igniteyourcity campaign so keep your eyes peeled.
Blogger and social media training. We deliver hands-on social-media training for a range of audiences – from 11-year-old girls to Communications Managers. You can see a video of us delivering bespoke copywriting, editing, blogging, social media and interview training to 100 year 7 girls in Sheffield as part of the Virgin Active Active Inspiration campaign here.
Public speaking. We are regularly asked to give talks and workshops about blogging, discuss how market to women and girls, how social media can be used to grow female participation in fitness and our own careers in sport and fitness. We’ve spoken at a range of events for clients including Adidas, Women Play Sport and sportscotland.
