Pride month is coming to an end with the big old Pride in London parade taking place on 6 July, celebrating 50 years since the birth of the modern LGBTQ+ rights movement. It’s set to be the biggest London parade in history so get yourself down there and show your support.

Luluemon are joining in the celebrations with some free workouts. On 5 July in King’s Road there’s an outdoor dance workout with Frame followed by food, drink and glitter. Next day, 6 July, in Marylebone you can take part in a barre-inspired dance class followed by a breakfast tipple and yet more glitter, so you’re looking fabulous ready to hit the parade.

Frame are hosting monthly workouts on the banks of the Regent’s Canal again this year. Take part in a 45-minute low-impact barre class to work your whole body and get a free Rude Health breakfast of cereal, granola, yogurts and fruit (vegan options available). Next one after this is 9 August.

We’re hoping the weather holds because we’re going to this next week. Hosted by Lululemon it’s an alfresco yoga and breathwork class taught from the main stage at British Summer Time. We’ll be flowing along to the sounds of London Contemporary Voices, one of the UK’s best modern choirs and apparently there are some surprise guests as well. Please let it be Stevie Wonder, please (it won’t be Stevie Wonder).

If you work in or near the city this is a lovely thing to do before work. Pure Sports Medicine are hosting rooftop Pilates classes atop the One New Change shopping centre – great views of St Paul’s. There’s a maximum of 10 per class so you’re going to get some great instruction and those views should help take your mind off the burning in your core.

Why do one leisurely fitness activity on a Saturday morning when you can obliterate yourself with three? Kickboxing inspired boutique studio Flykick and hot yoga gurus Hotpod Yoga have combined to offer a really tough but fun sounding workout – yes, we did say fun. 

You start with a 54-minute HIIT class complete with kickboxing bag rounds. Then you take a social paced 5k run through Hyde Park, led by Laura Murray, over to HotPod Belgravia for a 45-minute yoga class. You get a goody bag after and it contains some edible treats, you’re going to need them. Also, anyone else wondering why that HIIT class is precisely 54 minutes?!

For the seventh year running Regents Street are going traffic-free for a few days over the summer and loads of the stores have events and activities taking place. ASICS have got a pop-up tennis court and Lululemon are putting on free outdoor workouts. 

On 14 July the Lulu workouts are led by workout providers Manor and they’re tough but in a fun way, promise. You’ll be flipping, pushing and pulling kit around and sweating like a good ‘un. Classes are free but you need to reserve a spot for one of the three time slots here.

They’re putting on loads of events including gigs with pop choirs, neon life drawing, drag bingo and some fitnessy stuff. Each event costs a fiver, which is a bit of a bargain in this fair city. The mindful triathlon that we’ve never actually got around to going to is back and taking over Battersea park for the full day. Take part in a 5k run, 90-minute yoga class soundtracked by a dj and top it all off with 30 minutes of meditation. 

After the ‘tri’ here are loads of other activities to take part in including aerial yoga, cooking demonstrations, workshops and hula hooping, there’s even a secret sunrise dance. While we haven’t actually done this we were running round the park last year and noted they have some really amazing healthy food stalls so even if you don’t do the triathlon pop down and grab some lunch.
