Website of the week: Fitness Freak

Now we might be biased as the founder of this ingenious invention is a good friend of ours but if you haven’t discovered Fitness-Freak.com yet, check it out immediately.

What is it? A search and booking facility for all the best exercise classes and studios in London.

Fitness FreakMaybe you’ve read about a great new fitness class and wonder whether there’s one in your area? Perhaps you’re looking for spin in Shoreditch, Pilates in Putney, dancing in Dalston (or a whole host of other alliterative combinations).

First thing you probably do is hit Google. Obv we’re not going to diss the world’s largest search engine, but Google fitness classes and you also get ads for pills that help you drop a stone in two hours, info for classes that ceased in 2005 and details of sessions that are, quite frankly, not much cop.

The beauty of FF is that all studios have been vetted for awesomeness (founder Shara is a fitness instructor herself so knows what she’s talking about); details are there and up to date; classes are cool, very cool – unless they’re hot pilates; and they won’t try and flog you magic slimming pants while they’re at it. Fitness-Freak.com also has a whole section with health and fitness news, undercover reviews, events, new classes, fitness trends and loads of other sweaty stuff.

The cons? So far it’s only in London. Get working on the expansion eh Shara?

Shara being a hottie
