Want something to keep you out of the pub and vaguely on (training) track, then we have just the thing. Here’s our round up of July’s coolest fitness happenings. Know of more good stuff? Pop it in the comments below.
The Chap Olympiad, 13 July, Bedford Square Gardens
In a throwback to a rather more genteel time, this somewhat unusual event sees chaps and chapettes decked out in their finest vintage gear to play sports (in the loosest term of the word) such as umbrella jousting, ironing board surfing and pipeathlon. Leather armchairs, cocktail bars and sideshows surround the playing field in this annual celebration of ‘unathletic prowess and immaculate trouser creases’. The Colo(u)r Run UK, 14July, Wembley London
The happiest (and filthiest) 5k on earth…enough said.
Frame Summer Party, 6 – 10pm, 19 July, Shoreditch, London
Free drinks, taster classes and beauty treatments…our names are already on the list.
5.45pm + 6.15pm – Rebounding Club Classics! – ‘Get your bounce on to some amazing party tunes.’
7pm – Raving Mad – ‘Let loose and shake some serious booty in this rave inspired workout!’
7.30pm – Happy Hour Yoga to Balearic Beats – ‘Yoga with Kelly Kay Burns while DJ Veda pumps the tunes out on the decks.’
Lululemon Yoga in Covent Garden Piazza, 10am-11am 20 July
As long as we don’t hit the gin too hard at Frame’s summer bash we’ll be heading down to this. Pitched as the biggest outdoor yoga event the UK has ever seen. Teachers Celest Pereira, Emma Henry and Rachel Okimo will tag team for a one-hour all levels flow class complete with music by DJ Lord Veda (he’s doing the rounds this month!).
This event will be taking place on the West side of the Covent Garden Piazza. It’s free but bring your own mat on the day if you have one.

Innocent Inspires Event, 24 July
Innocent inspires is a series of events hosted by Innocent HQ. If you fancy yourself as the next Richard Reed (bloke who founded Innocent) then this event is a must. The event is hosted at Innocent HQ (Canal Building, 342 Ladbroke Grove, London W10 5BU) on 24 July from 7pm.
We’ve managed to get two tickets and a months supply of Innocent smoothies to give away to one lucky reader. Send an email to email@example.com with #innocentinspires in the subject line for your chance to win. Entries close on the 19th July and the winner will be notified by 22nd July.
