Sorry we’re a bit late with this but we’re working on something VERY exciting for later in the summer. In the meantime, check out these July fitness events. Tres bien eh?
Outdoor classes in the Athlete’s Village
East Village, next to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
Launched on 30 June, the former Athelete’s Village and Our Parks have got together to offer a series of FREE outdoor fitness classes. There’s Hula Hoop Fitness, an intense skipping and boxing class called Skip Fit and, the one we’re most excited about, Athlefit. Led by coach Liam Cole it’s inspired by the training practices of Olympians and includes high intensity plyometric drills and sprint training. Usain who?
triyoga on the roof

The swanky garden-themed rooftop of Selfridges is playing host to triyoga sessions this summer. The hour-long classes vary each week with different teachers and a choice of yoga or vinyasa flow. Cycle Rhythm opening
Opening 12 July, opening offer 30 days for £35
We love a good boutique cycling studio and for those of you in Essex/East London, there’s a new one opening its doors this week. Cycle Rhythm promises night-club worthy music, passionate instructors and high-spec bikes.
#SummerHotBod: 30 days online course
13 July-13 August, £53 or £45 if you sign up with a friend
Award-winning coach Kim Ingleby is one of our favourite fitness trainers ever. She’s so lovely but she works you soooo hard and she’s also a bloomin’ fantastic motivator (I went to a motivational talk with her, I’m a grumpy sod so that’s really not my bag but my god she really did get me all inspired and fired up. Miracle worker. Cx) This six-week course then, in our honest opinion, is a veritable bargain! Six weeks of online coaching including weekly training plans, weekly nutritional plans, goal setting and support, motivation and discounts on supplements. Everything you need to get fitter and stronger this summer. Do it! Ps, we’ve got more info on Kim here.
From 16 July, Wednesdays, 7.30am, £10 (50% discount if you work in the area!)
Granary Square, Kings Cross
The Shoreditch and Queen Park-based studio is on the move this summer with pop-up classes taking place at Kings Cross every Wednesday thoughout July. Combining the best bits of Frame’s signature classes, the early morning sessions meet on the steps by Regent’s Canal in Granary Square. And if it rains, no worries, they also have a covered area. There will also be a selection of Matcha drinks, sponsored by the guys at Vivid.
Glöanna Yoga Run
19 July, from £41
It’s back! We couldn’t make it last year but heard great things about this event in Battersea Park. A shot of prosecco on the start line, a 5k run through the park, an invigorating yoga session, sushi and a brunch part complete with a DJ and more prosecco. Sounds perfect and you get a free t-shirt too.
Velo Park Duathlon, Women’s Only Summer Series
Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Velopark, Stratford
20 July, £10-£20
The triathlon clubs of London have got together to host a series of affordable duathlon events. Suitable for all levels, this women-only race takes place on the closed road circuit surrounding the Olympic velodrome. You start with a 2-mile run, followed by a 10-mile bike and finish with a 1-mile final run. If you don’t have a bike, or can’t get it to the park, they are available to hire. There’s a further event taking place in September.
Rooftop Yoga Peckham Sunset sessions
Starting 21 July, £10, Mondays 8-9pm
Bold Tendencies, Peckham Multi-Storey car park
Stay tuned for more details for sunset yoga, watching the sun go down as you bend and flex on the roof of a disused muti-storey car park in Peckham. May not sound that glam but it’s a great space with sculptures and a campari bar (hello!) plus AMAZING views across London. Can’t wait for the sunset? There are already plenty of yoga sessions taking place including Rocket Yoga, Vinyasa Flow and Dru Yoga, see the timetable here.
