The Month In Sweat:

Held in Victor’s Lab, a very cool and airy space in Peckham’s awesome Bussey Building, the 90-minute energising rocket practice aims to support you whatever stage of yoga you’re at. There’s brunch and a chance to peruse the catalyst collection and have a natter afterwards too. WE’re going, sign up and join us on Facebook or email miranda.menzies@catalyst-activewear.com

30-day Online HotBod Course
From 18 Jan, £65
kiminglebyfit.com

 Kim Ingleby

The best thing about one of our favourite personal trainers EVER? Kim Ingleby is super-motivated and enthusiastic – and it’s infectious! The worst thing? She’s based in Bristol, we’re in London. However the internet is a wonderful thing and her South West location is no longer a barrier as she’s hosting an online 30-day course. With workout plans, nutrition guides, online support, discounts on kit and supplements, this could be just the New Year kick up the butt you’re looking for. The aim is to get a happy body – ahhh, we love Kim! Register here.

Splits Workshop
24 Jan, 15.30-17.30, £25
Frame Shoreditch
moveyourframe.com

Daniella Olds

When I was a kid I used to hang out in the splits all the time – for fun! Sadly, those days of gratuitous displays of flexibilty are long gone, I blame it on old age and running. If you want to work on a new party trick then this workshop – led by the super-smashing Daniella Olds – is a good place to start. Safe and progressive stretching in a warm environment will help you get long, lean muscles and it’s is open to those who can’t touch their toes too. Daniella is also running a handstands and arm balance workshop on the 17th.

Brutal10 Women Only
24 Jan, 10am, 5k £12, 10k £20
Aldershot, Hampshire
brutalrun.co.uk

Brutal10

The Brutal series of races are muddy, hilly, wet trail runs with loads of obstacles to tackle. This is their first women only race so you can experience all the fun without smelly boys. As well as prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place there are prizes for ‘best-dressed group’, which is probably the only one we have a chance of winning. Choose from the 5 or 10k course.

Who doesn’t want to dance like Queen Bey? Exactly, no one! This class taught by instructors from Seen on Screen – they work with Rihanna, One Direction and Kylie you know – will have you releasing that inner diva and shaking your butt Beyoncé style. And no need to worry about being a bit crap, the emphasis here is on fun and complete beginners are highly encouraged.

Cancer Research UK Winter Run
1 Feb, £45
Embankment
winterrunseries.co.uk

JoPaveyLWR-01

Ok, so the eagle eyed among you may have spotted that this event is not, in fact, in January. But you do need to sign up for it by 19 Jan to take part so we presume we’re forgiven. A 10k with a difference, the Winter Run winds through the streets of central London passing the London Eye, Big Ben, the Tower of London and all those other sights the tourists go mad for. What makes it different though is the Snow Zones – not quite sure what they are but we imagine there’ll be some fake snow involved – polar bears hugging you on the finish line, a giant snowball warm up and a Swiss Winter Wonderland. Definitely one to do with a group of mates – we are!
