This afternoon we went along to the Sweaty Betty AW 13 Press Preview. Oh my days there’s some amazing new kit heading our way!
For Spring Summer 13, Sweaty Betty went a bit experimental and added some amazing new prints to their collection. They were a MASSIVE hit, with the turquoise Adrenaline Ombre run capris just one of the items getting the fashion-loving fitness community all over-excited on Twitter. The good news is, for Autumn Winter 13, the prints are back. Bigger, louder and, more importantly, in greater quantity!
Filtering in to stores from July onwards (don’t start wishing the summer away already), the new collections were inspired by female astronauts from the 70s, galactic universes and natural wonders of the world such as the Northern Lights. In other words, everything’s gone a bit spacey and retro-futuristic – and this is no bad thing. No bad thing at all.
There’s also a nu-rave vibe with loads of bright colours, yay NEON! And, on the technical front, SB are always testing and reviewing so all our favourite basics are back, only better. Yoga leggings are now fully opaque so no g-string’s showing in your downward dog and fabrics have been made lighter or heavier, garments shorter or longer, depending on purpose. All good stuff Sweaty Betty, all good stuff.
Our photos don’t do the collection justice, seriously, most of it made us very happy, but here’s a sneak peak at the pieces we reckon will be winging their way into your kit drawer later this year.
